Ealing Borough
We run classes in Acton, Ealing, Hanwell, Greenford and Northolt. There are two ways to join — choose the one that applies to you.
Our Class Types
A quick look at what each class involves, so you can choose the right starting point.
Our evidence-based falls-prevention class, following the recognised Otago framework (Robertson et al., BMJ 2001). It builds strength for everyday tasks, balance to reduce your risk of falling, and confidence — at a gentle to moderate pace, with chair options and clear safety cues throughout. It’s an ideal starting point if you feel unsteady, are returning after illness or injury, or have been referred by a GP, physiotherapist or social prescriber.
A feel-good, low-impact dance-fitness class built around simple Latin-inspired moves and uplifting music. It improves balance, mobility and cardiovascular fitness through steady, easy-to-follow choreography, while building coordination and confidence in everyday movement. No dance experience needed — just a willingness to move, smile and feel proud of what your body can do.
Our Zumba Gold format with an added toning focus, combining the same feel-good dance choreography with bodyweight exercises and light resistance bands for a fuller, whole-body workout. It builds strength and muscle tone alongside the balance and cardiovascular benefits of Zumba Gold, at the same gentle, accessible pace. A great next step if you enjoy Zumba Gold and want to add a little more strength work to your routine.

Ask them about a referral through SystmOne or Joy. The programme follows the recognised Otago falls-prevention framework (Robertson et al., BMJ 2001). Without a referral, join our regular classes at the standard rate.
Have you been referred by your GP, physiotherapist or social prescriber?
No problem — the £35 GP Referral rate is only available with a referral from your GP, physiotherapist or social prescriber. Just use the Self-Funded option above to join at the standard rate instead.
The Ealing GP Referral Programme offers eligible participants 7 classes for £35.00. Your GP Referral card is valid for 10 weeks and can be used at any of our Strength & Balance classes.
This programme, together with the Hillingdon Council Funded Programme, is designed to help improve strength, build confidence, reduce the risk of falls, and support people to become more active in a safe, friendly and structured environment. Benefits of taking part include maintaining or improving muscle strength, balance, flexibility and reaction time; slowing the decline in muscle strength that can occur with age; increasing confidence in everyday movement and activities; and supporting mobility and independent living.
After completing your referral programme, you are very welcome to continue attending classes on a paid basis to help you maintain and further build on your progress.
Select the venue(s) or class(es) you would like to attend below. If you choose more than one, a shopping trolley will appear — click “View selections” and enter the requested details. You do not need to book weekly; classes are ongoing and you will receive a confirmation once booked. Need to cancel or change a booking? Every confirmation email includes a link where you can view, change or cancel that booking at any time.
